Autonomous Cars?

Today is another day. Yesterday after hours of school and working on projects I decided that I needed to get out of the house. It was raining so a bike ride was out of the question. So what I decided to do was to go for a drive. I drive a base model 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix. It has a V6 engine good for 200 HP. I live at about 4,000ft above sea level and on flat ground I can go 0-60mph in just under 7 seconds. Which isn’t bad for a four door sedan with only 200 HP.

Though I am getting off topic. The reason I brought up my car and the drive is this is something I don’t want to give up. It would be nice to have an Autonomous car to take you from point A – B without ever having to worry about getting their. It would make rush commute to longer a frustration. You could even work in your car and get paid for it. However if a car ever takes away my ability to drive it it probably won’t be a car that I will ever own.

There is something about being able to accelerate quickly. The thrill and rush of pulling out in traffic and with just the right car and not cutting the person off behind you.

I have a few dream cars and there are as follows:

  1. a Tesla sedan (the thrill of raw electric power)
  2. A Mustang or Challenger (it will probably end up being a Challenger if new)
  3. a Suburban (I want a family and there is no better car)
  4. a Truck. (you can help the neighbors)

Now a few notes on those cars:

The Tesla: this is a car I aspire too. It is something that would be really nice. If I can ever afford one it would be great. I would also like to get my parents one as well.

The Muscle Car: This is a car that will probably be the last one on this list that I get. While I will probably have the best time in this car the others are more practical

The Suburban: some say that a minivan or a crossover would be better but a suburban is a nice mean looking car. It LOOKS American.

The truck: this is something that would be really nice to have and be able to drive.
